How much does advertising cost on average for a real estate agent?
Q. Whats the average cost for advertising a house so that it can be sold on the market?
Asked by mountain1 - Mon Feb 15 06:06:05 2010 - Renting & Real Estate - 3 Answers - Comments
A. There is no answer to your question. Some houses remain unsold for much longer periods than do others, and thus cost far more in repetitive advertising to procure buyers. Quality advertising, however, is expensive. Many agents maintain websites on which to display listings to potential buyers, and agencies themselves mostly have similar websites for all properties listed. As well, there is newspaper and real estate guide advertising, some TV advertising on 'local homes for sale' channels, plus the costs of MLS and www.realtor.com exposure. It all adds up.

The answer to the question is your profit depends on what you're selling, how well your selling it and who to. Social network advertising can see you reap profits or sew losses due to high advertising costs and low conversions, but they are fantastic sources for traffic!! The reason social network advertising is so effective is that they are places where countless amounts of millions of people go on a daily basis, like everyone watching MTV at the same time,… [cont.]

A. Add your business's details to any local websites that have a local business directory section. Also knock together a basic webpage which describes: - What your business does - Where it's located - How people requiring your services can get in touch To this webpage, add a webring code from webring.com and join webrings for your local area that allow local businesses to join the ring. The website will allow you to advertise a hell of a lot more impressively than an old fashioned newspaper advert, and for a hell of a lot less money + people virtually expect to find a website for most businesses these days (it doesn't have to be a fancy Ebay / Amazon / Walmart.com style affair... as long as it let's potential customers know you exist, what… [cont.]

Asked by mrsazeem2003 - Mon Oct 30 07:20:01 2006 - Search Engine Optimization - 3 Answers - Comments
A. This is not a catch-All answer, merely a guideline 1. to inform, create interest and to ultimately induce a consumer to finalize a pruchase decision 2. among other things including all of the above, but the audience is highly specialized and holds prior knowledge of your product, concept, etc. 3. Consumer advertising focuses more on broadcasting a message to the widest audience posisble. 4. Audience is main difference, also the medium. Consumer will try to find a larger audience in an attempt to create sales via mass media. Industrial mostly focuses on smaller audience in advertisiments within specific trade magazines, locations, programs, etc.

What is the best way to sell advertising space?
Q. I currently ride one of the 400 rickshaws in central London and I am looking to get a new one. They cost a lot of money and I would like a company to purchase the advertising space located in the back for PS4000. At this price they will get continuous advertising for 5 years. What is the best way for me to approach businesses and companies and sell my idea? Other company currently rent advertising space on the back of a rickshaw for PS250 a day! . Your help is much appreciated.

A. Ask the companies currently renting why they think it is good for them. Then use this as a selling point to their competition. Also develop your own USP Also check out your route what type of customers you get, what type of services they would be interested in. When you know this then you can pitch to businesses offering those services etc. When you make your first million remember me!

A. I especially like advertising that offers me something. Many TV, radio, magazine and newspaper ads that are out there are just yapping on about how their product is great. But the ads that offer me a discount or a deal are most effective for me. For example, coupons are a great way to reach me with your advertisement. As a matter of fact, I would say that the most effective advertising to reach me would be those coupons on the back of the register tapes at my local grocery store. Those coupons are like free money and they are for local businesses that I would actually go to. I've used quite a bit of those coupons before. What's the difference between majoring in Advertising and majoring in Advertising Design?
Q. What's the difference between majoring in Advertising and majoring in Advertising Design? At Syracuse University they are two different majors. Advertising is in the school of public communications, while advertising design is part of the college of arts and sciences...??
Asked by Sophie - Mon May 4 00:42:29 2009 - Other - Advertising & Marketing - 1 Answers - Comments
A. Advertising Design is the creation of the graphic components in advertising, such as illustrations, package details, visual symbols, print ads, TV commercials, direct mail. Generally, artists ("art directors") take this major. It calls for a lot of design work and requires artistic talent. Advertising is the body of persuasive and informational communications designed to influence the purchasing behavior and/or thought patterns of an audience. Advertising is a marketing tool. Artists (art directors) may major in this, but it is usually majored in by people interested in management, copywriting, and the like.

How should I begin advertising my commercial janitorial, residental? What do I charge, any one know?

A. Start by figuring out how long it will take you to clean a 1000 square foot area. Then figure out how much it will cost for chemicals equipment transportation insurance and everything involved. Once you know that you have a baseline to figure out how much it's going to cost to do various sized areas. For advertising you can try craigslist or just mail a letter to various businesses. Visiting businesses in person to let them know who you are and what you do is the best way to get them comfortable with who you are.

How do I reverse a prepaid advertising entry that was a barter against a merch sale but the add never ran?
Q. In this case, a company sold merchandise in exchange for advertising (a barter agreement). The merchandise was sold, and the A/R was reversed to prepaid advertising as the ad was to be run at a future date. The vendor has now defaulted, and I wish to write off the prepaid advertisement. To which account should I write it off against?
Asked by Marie Jehanne - Mon Apr 11 16:36:19 2011 - Other - Advertising & Marketing - 1 Answers - Comments
A. As the barter agreement was terminated due to non-compliance, the amount for the prepaid advertising would essentially become an accounts receivable. Therefore if the amount has been deemed uncollectable, then you would write it off to bad debt expense.

What is a typical advertising budget for companies shown as a percentage of sales?
Q. what do companies spend on advertising? What is the percentage of sales that a consumer electronics company spends on advertising? How are advertising budgets decided?
Asked by okbye - Mon Feb 20 20:27:27 2006 - Search Engine Optimization - 2 Answers - Comments
A. This is a very broad scoping question. Each specific industry will spend a different percentage of gross revenue on advertising. If a company has good exposure to a physical location, lets say they are located on a busy street and they are a retailer, they don't need a large budget for advertising. Furthermore, product specific companies will fluxuate advertising costs based on where they are in the product life cycle (Educational advertising costs may be larger than other costs). There are two primary ways that a company can decide budgets for advertising; top-down and bottom-up. Imagine upper management on top and marketers on bottom. In a bottom up situation, the marketers will design the budget and propose it to management. In a top-dow [cont.]

How can I set up relationship with advertising agencies?
Q. Hi. I work as an account executive for a minority daily newspaper in the US. Unlike other A/E in mainstream media, I can very less money. I want to set up relationships with big advertising agencies to expand my network, and eventually draw ads into my newspaper. I tried so many advertising agencies, but all I had are voice mails and no responses except the front desk receptionist. My question is how can I reach those people in advertising agencies? Any advice is welcomed. Thank you very much.

A. I think there are at least two avenues for you to consider. An advertising agency or a marketing communications firm might be interested in your newspaper for two reasons: 1. The Media Director of the agency might be interested in reaching what, from your description, sounds like a very tight and well-defined demographic audience. In order to interest a media director, however, you will have to be able to provide detailed information about your newspaper. This would include the following: circulation - how many readers do you have? demographics - what is the actual demographic makeup of your readership? What is their ethnic makeup? How old are they? What kind of incomes do they have? Do they work in white collar jobs or blue collar jobs?… [cont.]

A. I have had a lot of experience marketing for construction businesses. It is no surprise you have had poor response from your previous direct mail campaigns. I have had the best results from newspaper inserts. There is a specific formula you need to follow. Here are a few tips #1 Make sure you have an OFFER. - % discount, $ off, "extra" for free, "upgrade to" for free. #2 Your logo and company name should NOT be the first thing you see. - at first glance you should see an interesting image or large print headline. #3 You need to provide as many ways to respond as possible. Phone number even multiple, cell, office, toll free, Email, website, Fax. make it EASY for your customers to reach you. #4 I have the best results by… [cont.]
